Annual Hydrant Flushing Taking Place
Spring Flushing beginning April 1st

The Freetown Water & Sewer Commission will be conducting hydrant flushing beginning in April and will continue until all water mains have been flushed. David Thibodeau, Infrastructure Maintenance, will start in East Freetown and end in Assonet.
Should you experience low pressure it will be temporary. Flushing will kick up particles in the lines and water may appear discoloured. If this happens, run cold water at a few exit points until water runs clear, generally it clears up in a minute or two.
