The Freetown Cultural Council seeks funding proposals for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs for its 2020-2021 Grant Cycle.  The Freetown Cultural Council has set an November 10th postmark deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community.

The Freetown Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils (LCC) serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth.  The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year.  The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.

This year the online application process will be available on September 1, 2020.  The Freetown Cultural Council will also accept paper applications.  For specific guidelines, applications and complete information about the Local Cultural Council Program are available online at https://www.mass-culture.org/lcc_public.aspx.  Paper grant applications will be available at the Freetown Town Hall, 3 North Main St., Assonet, MA.
