Opting-In to the Citizen Notification System

The first notification for the Freetown Citizen Notification System will be going out on August 31st.
As a reminder, if you signed up for text messages for the System, you MUST send a text that says ALERT to 22300. If you do not do this opt-in step (which is required by cell phone carriers, not by the town), you will get phone calls instead of text messages.
The source of last week's notification mishap has been identified and fixed. Once again, please accept our apologies for that happening. It will not happen again!
