In years past, the Freetown Lions Club has held a Candidate's Night, where candidates for various positions on the Annual Town Election ballot would come together to talk to the voters, let them know who they are, share their thoughts and positions, and more. With the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the Candidate's Night had to take a slightly different form.
On Tuesday, June 9th, Robert Clark, Margaret French and Jennifer Blum, the three candidates for two Regional School Committee Candidates, joined Lucille Rosa of the Freetown Lions Club on Zoom, for the 2020 Candidate's Forum. This forum premiered on the Town's Facebook Page on June 10th at 6pm, and on the Town's YouTube Channel shortly afterwards. This Candidate's Forum can be viewed here.
On Wednesday, June 10th, Charles Sullivan, Trevor Matthews and James St. Lauren, the three candidates for the Board of Selectmen, joined Mrs. Rosa, also on Zoom. This video premiered on the Town's Facebook page and YouTube Channel on June 11th at 6pm. This Candidate's Forum can be viewed here.
The Annual Town Election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Polls are open from 12pm-8pm, with all three precincts voting in the Freetown Elementary School Gymnasium (43 Bullock Road, but please use the Memorial Drive entrance).
