The Cemetery Commission is happy to help those who are trying to research their families. Before contacting us, consider some of the resources below, as they may save time.

Freetown Historical Society - The Freetown Historical Society maintains listings of burials in nearly every cemetery in town up until 1996. Their records were taken primarily by copying information from the headstones in various cemeteries. They have many records and listings for private and abandoned cemeteries that the town does not otherwise track.  Museum hours and contact information can be found on their website at http://www.freetownhistoricalsociety.org/ .

Find A Grave - The "Find A Grave" website has been helping genealogists for over ten years. The Freetown Cemetery Commission, along with other volunteers, has added many records to this website for burials in public and private cemeteries.
