When will my trash and recycling be picked up?
Trash will continue to be picked up on a weekly basis and Recycling will be collected every other week on your regular trash day. See calendar on web site for weeks that recycling will be picked up.

Is there a limit to the amount of material I can recycle?
No, as long as it is in a Barrel with a Freetown Recycles Sticker.

Why can't I recycle all items that have a recycling symbol on it?
The process that single stream recycling goes through does not allow for certain items, such as plastic bags and Styrofoam. These items tend to get caught in machines and do not bundle well with other items. In order to recycle these materials effectively they would have be source separated and picked up individually. Please refer to the list on the main page of what can and cannot be recycled.

If I have a problem with my trash pick-up, whom do I call?
Freetown Board of Health. (508) 644-2202 Ext#3
