GENERAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES
Nomination Papers
- Last day to obtain nomination papers:
Tuesday, January 16, 2007 @ 5:00pm
- Last day to submit nomination papers to Registrars (at Town Clerk's Office) for certification:
Tuesday, January 16, 2007 @ 5:00pm
- Last day for Registrars to file certified nomination papers with Town Clerk:
Monday, January 29, 2007 @ 5:00pm
- Last day to object or withdraw nomination papers with Town Clerk:
Wednesday, January 31, 2007 @ 5:00pm
Signatures
A minimum of 33 certified Freetown voters’ signatures are required. Obtaining additional signatures are recommended in case some of the signatures cannot be certified.
Voter Registration
Town Clerk’s Office, Monday 9AM-7PM &Tuesday - Friday, 9AM – 4PM
Final Voter Registration
Town Clerk’s Office, February 13th, 2007, 9AM- 8PM
Poll Locations
Polls are open for the Annual Town Election from 12Noon– 8PM
Precinct I & Precinct II – Freetown Elementary School, Memorial Dr. entrance,
Precinct III – Multi-purpose Senior Center, 227 Chace Rd.
Absentee Ballots
Absentee ballot applications may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office until 5PM, Friday, March 2, 2007.
Campaigning
Campaigning may take place 150 ft. from the entrance to the polling location. See attached notice regarding political signs (NOT CURRENTLY ONLINE).
