The Board of Selectmen is the Executive branch of the town government. The Board is the issuing authority for various licenses and permits. The Board is also the main regulatory authority setting and enforcing policies and regulations. Additionally the Board of Selectman serve as the Board of Health, Personnel Board, and Police Commissioners as well as serving on other various committees and boards.
If you have questions or require assistance please do not hesitate to call the Selectman's Office. We have provided a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ's) in order to provide online answers to some of the questions that are asked of our office. Additionally, we have provided forms to save you time. Please contact us if you should have further questions.
While the Board of Selectmen serves as the Board of Health, the Board of Health has a separate office and staff. To contact the Board of Health, please call (508) 644-2202.
The Board of Selectmen is an elected position. During each Town election, one member is elected to a three year term.
