Dear Mr. Bourgeois:

On August 13, 2004, the Freetown Historical Commission received a copy of the permit for demolition of 125 Chace Road, which had been submitted on July 29, 2004. Thank you for your prompt notification of the permit which was well within the 30 days. I also appreciate your phone call to notify me of the permit.

The Freetown Historical Commission met on Thursday, August 19th and discussed the permit for demolition. All members have visited and viewed the property at 125 Chace Road. It was a unanimous decision to agree with the demolition, noting the condition of the structure. We are notifying you in writing well within the 60 days. This is our first demolition review since the Demolition Delay By- Law went into effect, we are making every effort to follow the procedures in a prompt efficient manner. The Freetown Historical Commission will photograph the building and record the photo and any information within our files to denote that it was part of Freetown’s history. We would like the opportunity to record and photograph any buildings set for demolition as they are all part of the history of our town.

According to the Demolition By-Law, D. Procedure # 3, we are also required to notify the applicant in writing of our determination. Therefore, we are forwarding a copy of this letter.

Sincerely,
