Town Recycling Program Update

In recent days, you may have seen other local municipalities having issues regarding recycling programs in their communities. In response to this, the Board of Health has issued the following update:

Due to the instability of the recycling market, the Town has experienced difficulty in disposing of our recyclable materials in the marketplace.  Fortunately, the Town has been successful in finding alternative resources that will take our recyclables. As a result, the Town has been able to maintain its current recycling program, and there has been no disruption in services.  It is our goal is to continue to offer a full recycling service to the residents of Freetown. However, if any changes are proposed that will impact our recycling program, we will keep you posted on the website and via Facebook, and the Board of Health and Selectmen will work diligently to preserve this important program.
